Lucas Hastings Update—If all goes well today Lucas will get to come home Friday 2/7. Thank you to all that helped support this family through this long ordeal of 3 months+. Let us continue to keep them in our prayers as they celebrate and re-learn how to all live together again.
Valentine Spaghetti Dinner—Tickets are available see me for information! Rankin Presbyterian Church will host their annual fund-raising dinner on February 16th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The cost of the tickets are $7 for adults $3 for kids and 5 under are free. All proceeds will be going to the carpet fund so that the sanctuary carpet can be replaced.
Lenten Book Study—I have three books ordered that will be here soon and I would like for you to choose one for a book study. We also need to find a day and time that would work best. Please mark your preferences on the sheet of paper next to the books on the mission table. Last day to vote is Sunday! “Were You There” is in the lead on Tuesday afternoons.
Changing Landscapes—Is a workshop that will be presented by Shanna Doughty from IAFR and myself on changes in our community. We will look at how change has affected our community and its make-up. We also learn about laments and how to write our own. On day two we will explore ways to meeting the new opportunities that this change has brought about. It will be a two-day event. Day one is March 7th and day 2 is April 25th. Both days will start at 10:00 a.m. and end around 2:30. Lunch will be provided. We hope that many of you will be able to attend as we look at ways to be more inclusive with our neighbors.
